Finishing Fridays

New to Oak Leaf Quilts!
We are setting aside the classroom on the third Friday of every month for a day of fun, friendship and finishing. Get help with your projects or just get motivated to finish your U.F.O.s (un-finished objects). Space is limited so you must reserve your spot before the meeting day.

Mexican Star Wall Hanging

Picture Piecing
Skill Level: All
Learn Cynthia England’s technique of creating realistic pictorial quilts using freezer paper templates and straight line sewing. Rhonda has sewn samples for Cynthia and demoed this technique at quilt shows for years. She will share with you tips and tricks to make the piecing easier. Choose any Picture Piecing pattern to start in class.
Fabric Kits can be ordered from us with at least 2 weeks notice.

T-shirt quilt

Learn how to design then stabilize and cut t-shirts to make a quilt. This is a two session class. Second class will be scheduled during first class.

Beginning Quiltmaking -
Skill Level: Beginner
In this three class series, Rhonda will teach the basics of rotary cutting, machine piecing, machine quilting, and continuous binding to complete a table runner or wall hanging.

Lil’ Twister Table Runner or Placemats –
Skill Level: Experienced Beginner and up
This is a great way to try the Lil’ Twister technique. You can “rent” the tool for $5 in class. If you love it, you can apply your rental fee to the purchase of the tool.

Log Cabin Quilt -
Skill Level: Experienced Beginner and up
A new way to make “trim as you go” Log Cabin Blocks. We will use the new Log Cabin Trimming Ruler by Creative Grids. Great for using scrap fabric strips of widths from 1 1/2” to 2 ½”. The Trimming Ruler can be “rented” in class for $5. If you love it, your rental fee will be applied to the purchase price.

NOTE: If you must cancel a class, please cancel at least three days before class to receive a class credit
toward another class. If the teacher or OLQ cancels a class, you will receive a full refund.
